System Improvements in Your Community

We are continually working on planned infrastructure replacements and upgrades in all of our utility systems. Please take note of the following projects.

Where these involve heavy construction work, please take extra care when transiting through these areas. Affected residents will be notified of any work involving system outages or road closures. Thank you for your patience as we work to maintain your essential services.

Bankston

  • Upgrading meters to Advanced Metering Infrastructure meters
  • New hydropneumatic tank
  • Upgrade treatment system
  • New submersible pump
  • New electrical panel
  • New storage tank (COMPLETED)

French Settlement

  • Upgrading meters to Advanced Metering Infrastructure meters
  • New water well to be located along Delia Street
  • New filtration units at the existing Mercy Lobell well
  • +/- 8k feet of new PVC water main currently being installed along Hwy 16
  • Dual booster pumps to be installed at French Settlement well
  • Revamp of all Wells including new electrical, level controls, treatment system, etc.

Hammond Heights

  • Upgrading meters to Advanced Metering Infrastructure meters
  • Revamp of all Wells including new electrical, level controls, treatment system, etc.
  • +/- 8k feet of new PVC water main along Whiskey Lane, TIn Can Alley, 1064, 1065, Fendalson
  • Dual booster pumps to be installed at French Settlement well
  • New water located along 1065
  • Dual booster pumps to be installed at Cockerham Well
  • Customers tied into new main along Whiskey Lane and Tin Can Alley.

Head of Island/Whitehall

  • Upgrading meters to Advanced Metering Infrastructure meters

Maurepas

  • Upgrading meters to Advanced Metering Infrastructure meters
  • New filtration units at the existing Simoneaux well site
  • Dual booster pumps to be installed at Simoneaux Well
  • New Bear Island well put in service
  • +/- 6k feet of new PVC water main currently being installed along Hwy 22
  • Revamp of all Wells including new electrical, level controls, treatment system, etc.

Pine Heaven

  • Upgrading meters to Advanced Metering Infrastructure meters (COMPLETED)
  • Electrical upgrades, including pump control panels and wiring (COMPLETED)
  • Upgrades to iron and manganese sequestering process (COMPLETED)
  • Upgrades to the disinfectant process (COMPLETED)

Velma

  • Upgrading meters to Advanced Metering Infrastructure meters
  • Revamp of all Wells including new electrical, level controls, treatment system, etc.
