Throughout the country, many of these systems are aging and in need of repair, rehabilitation and replacement. They require ongoing investment to maintain safe and reliable operations.
At Utilities Inc. of Louisiana, we work hard to upgrade our local systems so our customers can continue to trust the service we deliver now and in the future. Our customers support these important investments by paying their bills.
2025 investments include, among others, the following:
- Replacing and installing almost seven miles of aging pipe, especially along Chinquapin, Mecca Road, LA 22, and Prince Lane.
- Improving the water treatment process.
- Drilling groundwater wells for Bonterra, Greenbrier and Spillway to meet current and growing needs for water service.
- Expanding the capacity and scope of the Arrowwood wastewater treatment plant to manage and treat wastewater more effectively.
- Replacing the casing of the Quail Ridge groundwater well to re-establish the safe and proper use of the well.
- Replacing generators in multiple locations to maintain reliable service.
