Texas Water Utilities (TWU) is proud to serve you and to deliver drinking water that continues to meet strict drinking water standards. Last month, the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) conducted testing of the local water system. This testing was not requested by TWU, and was an independent study completed by TCEQ scientists. TWU recently received TCEQ’s final report which includes this conclusion:
“For regulated contaminants with maximum contaminant levels (MCLs) or action levels (AL), all results were significantly below regulatory limits. For contaminants with Secondary Contaminant Levels (SCLs) all results were significantly below the SCL, with the exception of pH. However, elevated pH does not have an impact on public health. The investigative project did not identify any results which were outside compliance or indicative of increased risk to public health.
No violations were alleged, and one existing violation was resolved as a result of this investigation. A General Compliance (GC) letter will be mailed to the regulated entity.”
